The Role and Responsibilities of the Vice Chairman ASADA
The Vice Chairman of ASADA is the Chairman's main understudy. His role is to support the Chairman and share the workload of the day to day running of the organisation.
His specific duties include the following: -
- Taking the Chair at meetings in the absence of the Chairman.
He / she is to be a member of the ASADA Executive Committee and is to attend the AGM and all other ASADA Committee meetings.
John's Profile
John Gibbon started diving in 1994 after enjoying mountaineering for over 20 years. SADS since 1998, First Class Diver
in 2005 and Instructor Trainer since 2005 too. Member of ASADA committee as Vice-Chairman and then DO since 2005 and former
member of National Diving Committee. Currently very involved with ASADA instructor events and the very successful ASADA
Battle Back diving for injured Servicemen and women. In the absence on overseas duty of other key ASADA members, John is
presently covering the roles of Diving Officer and Vice-Chairman. Current ambition: to go diving, anywhere, anytime!
